Over the last five months I’ve been participating in the MATS Bootcamp course where each month a new brief is set.

Last months project I am yet to complete still, I’m currently working on some ideas and sketches so at present I am unable to show you anything from the penultimate month.

Instead I’ll jump on ahead to the grand finale which subject matter of flowers, hand lettering and notebook was right up my alley look these up.

My flower of focus was a Zinnia.

Zinnia’s are great fun flowers to draw, colourful and bold, I could have experimented for hours with many different styles and mediums but I was strapped for time so my default style it was, which is fine because i’m pleased with the result.

Seeing the completed mock up I really want to design two other floral patterns to go with this as i think it would make a great little set.

Maybe one made up of Dahlia’s and the other Forget Me Nots?

I’ll update here on the blog with my decision and progress soon as I am pretty keen to get them mocked up for real. Excited!
