I’m a Surface Pattern designer who has appreciated art, pattern and colour from the very beginning. I love the process of experimentation, creating an interesting mix of trend driven pattern designs and self directed projects with a commercial appeal.

My hand is varied but distinctive, doodling anything that takes my fancy. Inspiration comes from all around, nature, art, global cultural styles, vintage and more. I’m particularly interested in details, texture and colour combinations together with a rich sense of pattern and form which I strive to encompass in the work that I do.

The motifs and marks I draw are created using fine liner and felt pens, indian ink and sometimes paint which is then interpreted digitally in Illustrator or Photoshop to create designs that can be used on many surfaces including apparel, stationery, home decor and fabric.

My experience over the years has been on a freelance basis for various London fashion print studios, my designs have sold to many international high street brands including Urban Outfitters, Top Shop, Calvin Klein, M&S and Primark.

Prior to this I worked in a textile studio dying fabric and painting costumes for numerous musical theatre, film productions and high end fashion events. You can still find me very occasionally hands deep in a bubbling dye vat or armed with a cheese grater breaking down a characters costume.

If you would like to collaborate, or have products that would look fabulous with my art work I’d love to hear from you. Feel free to contact me for exclusive access to my full portfolio where you will find a variety of designs with multiple uses in various industries available to purchase outright or licence.

Until then I look forward to working with you – Stacey!
